In an unprecedented move, Treasurium has partnered with the Rocky™ brand to develop the first celebrity-themed commemorative banknote in US Dollar format, exclusively featuring Sylvester Stallone’s iconic Rocky Balboa. Crafted with the highest European security print standards and enriched with artistic symbolism, this limited-edition piece reimagines Rocky’s fighting spirit as a powerful, collectible currency of inspiration. Available through official Rocky™ stores, this unique item is more than a tribute—it’s a model for a new class of celebrity collectibles. The Rocky Balboa Collectible Banknote
ROCKY is a 1976 film, directed by John G. Avildsen and written by and starring Sylvester Stallone. It was the first installment in the Rocky franchise and also stars Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, and Burgess Meredith. In the film, Rocky Balboa (Stallone), a poor small-time club fighter and loanshark debt collector, gets an unlikely shot at the world heavyweight championship held by Apollo Creed (Weathers).
The Rocky Balboa banknote collectable is printed at a high secured state banknote printing facility, containing security features such as a genuine watermark, microtext, uv fiber, holographic foil and a unique serial number.
On December 3rd 1976 , Rocky was released in the United States. Rocky became the highest-grossing film of 1976, earning approximately $225 million worldwide.
In 2006 , the Library of Congress selected Rocky for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
